I love decorating my home and this is one of my favorite activities is to go browsing for decorating finds on the weekends. Recently I discovered the beauty of braided rugs. Once I saw how charming they were I knew that I needed to get at least one braided rug for my home. The most difficult part was choosing which one to buy.

One of the most appealing things about them is their versatility. You can put a braided rug in the middle of a big, country kitchen or under an elegant dining set. It really depends on the colors of the rug and the rest of the décor of the room.

I went to several small shops in my area that featured different ones. They were all attractive but I was really looking for a brown toned braided rug that I could place in my entryway. I wasn’t able to find exactly what I wanted near my home, so I went online.

There are many websites that sell home décor items. Some stores have websites where you can order any of their products to be shipped virtually anywhere in the world. I decided to look at some of the auction sites to see if I might find a braided rug that would look good in my home.

It was amazing how many people were selling rugs of all kinds. The prices were so reasonable and the descriptions very detailed. Almost every braided rug that was listed was accompanied by an image so I could see the colors and the condition of the rug.

Although many were gently used there was also a wide selection of new rugs to choose from. I was also surprised to see that some people were advertising braided rugs they had made themselves and they would consider special orders.

I contacted one of them and tried to explain what I was looking for. They were very helpful and said that they could create a rug with the color scheme I wanted in the size and shape I desired within a few weeks. We worked out a payment deal and I just had to wait for the rug to arrive.

When it did I was so pleased with it. It was exactly what I had been looking for and it fit perfectly in my entryway. Since then, I’ve contacted the same person to make a smaller, blue braided rug for my son’s bedroom. It too, exceeded all of my expectations. Overall, I’d say that finding a rug for my home was a painless experience. I got exactly what I wanted at a good price.
